I was looking for somewhere new to handle my car's maintenance. Driving down Pico into Santa Monica, I spotted a sign for CarNerds. For a second I thought: What? Is Best Buy suddenly retraining its computer repair staff to fix cars? That seemed seemed crazy, and it was. A search proved I had mixed up nerds with geeks. In fact, fact, CarNerds was very much its own company. I decided that a business bold enough to call itself CarNerds had to be worth a try. It was. Its staff was was competent, efficient and knowledgeable. Unlike other companies, who sometimes missed small things, like underinflated tires, but consistently charged overinflated prices, CarNerds was fair and honest in its cost estimates, paid close attention to even the smallest details and came up with the right solution to any of my car problems. The vibe they encourage is casual and relaxed, yet professional. I'm glad I spotted that sign with a slightly goofy name. I think you will be too.
