I do a lot of things on my own but taking my car to a mechanic is my least favorite. Why? Well I don't have a clue about cars and I'm a girl and it's pretty obvious I have no clue about cars. And because of this I think everyone is trying to pull a fast one on me.So I sucked it up and took it over to these guys because they were close to home/work and the name "Car Nerds" gave me the impression that they might know what's going on without ripping me off.And I was right! These guys answered all my questions and put me at ease knowing they were doing only what was absolutely necessary to get my AC nice and cool again. They were also very quick about getting the parts ordered and keeping me updated on everything. Now my AC is up and running again and I couldn't be happier!

I had a really great experience. I came in with a shaking, stalling car. They kept it for a few hours and it turned out to be a simple fix. They didn't charge me anything. And my car runs great now. They didn't have to do that, but they did. It was such a kind, and human gesture.

Love this place! They are super honest!!! I use to get so stressed about getting my oil change because I knew I would have to deal with a pushy mechanic listing all the expensive repairs I need done. I don't know much about cars, so this would stress me out. But now I have a place that I trust 100%!! :)

Seeing that my dealership couldn't squeeze me in (till mid-July, seemingly) to diagnose a Check Engine light, went looking at Yelp for assistance. Didn't take long to find Rony's Car Nerds in my old stomping grounds of east Santa Monica based upon a boatload of 5-star reviews. Online scheduling and email confirmation for the time asked offered early indication of a smooth operation. Pulled into the parking lot where I was met by Rony for the usual intake process. Again, quick and efficient. Thirty-minutes later we had our answer: my 2013 Elantra needed a software update. Now, any of the usual suspects in auto repair will charge you a service fee and tell you what it'll cost the driver to perform said update...and you won't see them with anywhere close to a five-star rating. Rony recommended I have the dealership perform this work as it's likely covered by the warranty and avoid any expense. No charge for helping me out when Hyundai couldn't find the time to do so. This not only confirmed why Yelpers have left praise after praise, including this one now added to the stack, but why I'll be looking for Car Nerds to be my Go-To for auto maintenance and repair in this household.
