Finally a reliable, honest mechanic in Santa Monica, others may exist but I have not come across them.Clean garage, friendly and a good value mechanic, don't hesitate to go here.
These guys are awesome! My car stalled out on me and this was the first place I found in a time of desperation. Rony set me up no problem and got me a deal on a rental at enterprise for like $25 a day. Since I had some complications and inconvenience (they had to keep my car a day longer than they thought) Rony took $25 off my bill for the rental, and gave me a $200 discount and washed my car for FREE. I told them even though it's 20 minutes away from my house, they earned a regular customer. I was super pleased with their customer service and have already recommended them to everyone I know, just ask for Rony :D
Car Nerds is the best kept secret in town when it comes to car repairs! They replaced my lights for a fraction of the cost it would have been anywhere else. Excellent customer service and a nice waiting area for the shortest wait ever!
I first met Rony when I took my Prius to SM Toyota, I thought he was so good, I started taking my Lexus to him. Then Rony transferred to Manhattan Beach Toyota. I followed him there, because I trust him so much. This is important to me as I don't want to be taken advantage of with my limited knowledge of cars. Finally Rony opened his own place, Car Nerds, and, of course, I started going there. Car Nerds is the best. You can't beat the mechanics, the service and the cost. Rony Castillo's Car Nerds is the only place to take your car to be serviced. They go above and beyond...
Best shop in town! Welcome to the new age of non-dealer mechanics. Car nerds is modern, friendly, fast, and far less than the Dealer. Rony worked at Toyota for over a decade so knows the business in and out and you can trust him 100%. Just recently my battery went dead and they offered to come to my house to fix it! I don't go anywhere else for my Toyota Celica.
If there were more Car Nerds the world would be a better place. I kid you not. I have visited the Car Nerds three times in the past two months for various types of help and support. Initially, I went to them for advice on selling my car. The employees were SO knowledgeable, honest, helpful, and kind that I returned to get support with my stereo. On this occasion, they helped me figure out how to connect my iPod in my car which I've not been able to figure out since I got the car in 2009. Then yesterday, I returned again when one of the scary 'get help immediately' indicators lit up on my dashboard. When I showed up, they stopped what they were doing and tended to my car immediately and with smiles. Not only do these guys KNOW THEIR STUFF, but they are kind, cool and understand the importance of customer service.I cannot recommend them more highly. And, I am hard to please! If any investors are reading this...here is your golden ticket. This business is incredible. I for one, will be returning next week for my oil change. Thanks Car Nerds!
Great service and great prices, I'm bring all my cars here from now on. Thanks Rony!
Took in my Camry after Jiffy Lube said the oil was fine when in reality I was 1000 miles over the limit and they made an error. Carnerds fixed it right away. I used their $25 off coupon and also had a water pump replaced for half of what the dealer quoted me. Forget pep boys or any of the other shops, I'm taking all my cars to car nerds from now on. Tomorrow I'm taking my Lexus Sc430 there to have my shocks looked at, which all the other mechanics couldn't figure it out. The website is easy to use and the pricing is extremely competitive. Ask for Rony and he will hook you up. Everyone there is certified and are ex dealer service center employees. It's nice to see honest mechanic shops on the west side that treat people right. Bonus there's plasma tvs, wifi, coke zero, pellagrino, and leather chairs while you wait. 5 stars. Make an appointment online for fastest turnaround.
Rony Castillo, the manager, is super friendly and honest. I took my car for Uber inspection. Within 15 minutes, the inspection was completed. Amazing place and super fast service. The best.
My boyfriend took the car to Car Nerds today for an oil change. He found this place driving by. Romy is honest and fair. The oil change for our 2010 Kia Rio was $36. There was what we thought was oil leaking from the car, but Romy told us it was probably condensation from the A/C. He checked it out and indeed it was. It was nothing for us to worry about. We let him know we would be driving to Chicago, IL soon and asked if the car would be okay. He assured us that it would be fine. We still need to repair our timing belt, but he let us know if we take it nice and easy we would be okay. He quoted us for the timing belt about $300, which is far cheaper than what Pep Boys had quoted. Also, he let us know the transmission oil was dirty and quoted us at $100. I think we found our new mechanic.
